The stuff of dreams!

The most amazing thing has just happened. Emma and I have just been next door to meet the neighbour on the other side who has just moved back in after a long spell in hospital. She is a lovely lady, and still quite ill, but would love to have had a dog. Unfortunately she feels she is not up to walking one now, but she had seen me out of the window and was very jealous. Well, she is living on her own for the first time, like Emma, and she said she would love to have me round to play sometimes - she's had dogs in the past, so she knows what she's taking on! It is wonderful news for me, because it means when Emma is out for a long time at school, I can go round there and have company and give company to someone who really needs it. I feel all overcome by the idea of being shared with someone who by necessity is at home quite a lot. I'm going to be the most loved dog on the street!
